Medical Disclosure
IMPORTANT: Please read this disclaimer carefully before using our website, services, or downloadable resources. By accessing our website or purchasing any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms set out below.

This disclaimer is provided to comply with applicable UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics (effective 1 September 2024).

1. About Mint Nutrition Ltd
Mint Nutrition Ltd is a United Kingdom limited company providing specialist virtual dietetic services. Both directors of Mint Nutrition Ltd are Registered Dietitians regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Our services include 1:1 virtual consultations, packages of care, and downloadable resources including meal plans, e-booklets, and online courses.

2. Nature of Website Content and Downloadable Resources
Content published on the Mint Nutrition Ltd website, social media channels e.g. Instagram and Facebook,, and within downloadable resources including but not limited to meal plans, e-booklets, and courses, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Unless you are an existing client engaged under a formal consultation or care package, this content does not constitute personal dietetic advice, diagnosis, or treatment specific to your individual circumstances.
Although both directors of Mint Nutrition Ltd are Registered Dietitians, they are not your treating healthcare professional unless a formal client relationship has been established through our booking and consent process. General website content does not create a client-practitioner relationship.

3. Limitations of Virtual Practice
All consultations delivered by Mint Nutrition Ltd are conducted virtually via secure video or telephone platforms. Whilst we take all reasonable steps to ensure our services are safe and effective, you acknowledge that virtual dietetic consultations have inherent limitations when compared to face-to-face clinical appointments.
In particular, you should be aware that:
-
Virtual consultations may not be appropriate for all clinical presentations. Where we consider that an in-person assessment or referral to another healthcare professional is clinically indicated, we will advise you accordingly.
-
Dietetic advice provided is based on information you supply to us. We cannot be responsible for outcomes arising from information that is incomplete, inaccurate, or withheld.
-
Dietary interventions, including evidence-based approaches such as the low FODMAP diet for IBS, are not suitable for all individuals. Our practitioners will assess individual suitability as part of the clinical consultation process.
-
Mint Nutrition Ltd does not prescribe medications, issue medical certificates, or provide services that are restricted by law to registered medical practitioners or other regulated healthcare professionals.
Â
4. Medical Emergencies — Seeking Urgent Help
Mint Nutrition Ltd is not an emergency service. If you believe you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 immediately. For urgent but non-emergency medical concerns, contact NHS 111 (free, 24/7 across the UK) or attend your nearest urgent care centre or A&E department. Do not delay seeking emergency medical assistance on the basis of information contained on our website or within any of our resources.

5. Your Relationship with Your GP and Medical Team
Dietetic care is most effective when delivered as part of a coordinated approach alongside your GP and other members of your healthcare team. Our services are complementary to, and do not replace, the care provided by your General Practitioner (GP) or other medical specialists.

We strongly advise you to:
-
Inform your GP that you are receiving private dietetic support from Mint Nutrition Ltd.
-
Continue to take any prescribed medications as directed by your prescribing clinician. Do not alter or discontinue medications without first consulting your GP or prescriber.
-
Seek advice from your GP before beginning any significant dietary change if you have comorbid conditions (for example, diabetes, coeliac disease, kidney disease, eating disorders, or any condition requiring medical monitoring).
-
Share any relevant test results, medical letters, or clinical history with us so that our dietitians can tailor their advice accurately and safely.
Â
6. Regulatory Framework Across the Four UK Nations
Mint Nutrition Ltd serves clients across all four nations of the United Kingdom. Whilst dietetic professional standards are regulated at UK level by the HCPC, the wider healthcare regulatory environment differs between nations.

As a private provider delivering services virtually, Mint Nutrition Ltd is not currently registered with the CQC, HIS, HIW, or RQIA, as registration requirements under each nation's framework depend on the regulated activities carried out and the specific regulated settings involved. HCPC registration of individual practitioners is maintained at all times. You are advised to verify the current registration requirements relevant to your nation with the applicable regulator if you have concerns.

7. Downloadable Resources, Courses, and Digital Content
Meal plans, e-booklets, and online courses sold by Mint Nutrition Ltd constitute ‘digital content’ for the purposes of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (Chapter 3). This content is created by Registered Dietitians and is based on current evidence at the time of publication; however:
-
Downloadable resources provide general dietary guidance and are not a substitute for individualised dietetic advice. They do not create a client-practitioner relationship.
-
Nutritional science is continually evolving. We endeavour to keep our resources up to date but cannot guarantee that information remains current at all times. Please check the version date on each resource.
-
Some resources (for example, low FODMAP meal plans) are designed for use under the supervision of a healthcare professional. If you have an underlying health condition, please consult your GP or a registered dietitian before following the guidance.
-
All digital content is protected by copyright. Mint Nutrition Ltd reserves all intellectual property rights. You may not reproduce, distribute, or resell any of our resources without prior written consent.
Â
8. Accuracy and Currency of Information
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the information published by Mint Nutrition Ltd is accurate and up to date at the time of publication, we cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy. Clinical guidelines, dietary recommendations, and regulatory requirements are subject to change. We recommend that you verify significant health decisions with a qualified healthcare professional. Mint Nutrition Ltd accepts no responsibility for errors or omissions on third-party websites linked from our website.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This disclaimer and any dispute arising from your use of our website or services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, unless you are resident in Scotland, in which case Scottish law shall apply, or in Northern Ireland, in which case the laws of Northern Ireland shall apply. Nothing in this disclaimer affects your rights under the law of the UK nation in which you reside.

10. Updates to This Disclaimer
Mint Nutrition Ltd reserves the right to update or amend this disclaimer at any time to reflect changes in law, regulation, or our business practices. The version date at the top of this document indicates when it was last reviewed. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised disclaimer.
